Chelsey was looking to expand her photography studio. Annie was looking to optimize her modeling studio. Both of us were looking for new ways to collaborate and engage with our community. A lightbulb (or halo?!) lit up above our heads: what if we shared a space with each other… and with other local creatives? When a stunning old church right off Pendleton Street caught our eye, we knew we had our studio. After months of dreaming, renovating, and furnishing the space, we’re opening the doors as Heylo Studio. We couldn’t feel more grateful to welcome you inside.

Absolutely! We’ve intentionally designed the studio for flexible use. Feel free to move items as needed — just return them the way you found them, please.
Along with full, private use of the space itself, you get complimentary access to curated furniture, and various props. All backdrops are included in rental, with a backdrop stand, and a light stand. You’ll have everything you need to build scenes like living rooms, offices, and other setups.
- No glitter, paint, open flame, or smoke bombs.
- No smoking or drug use.
- No FULLY nude photography, videography, or explicit sexual activity.
- No affixing anything to walls or backdrops (including nailing, hanging, taping, or using Command strips).
- No unsupervised children or pets (unless approved).
- No subleasing the studio to any third party.
- Bookings require a 60-minute minimum.
- Deposit / payment is required at the time of booking.
- No refunds for bookings canceled within 48 hours.
- Food and drink are allowed with care.
- Music or other sound must not be audible beyond the walls, doors, and windows of the studio.
- Please return all furniture and equipment to its original location at the end of your session.
Your rental time begins promptly at the designated starting time and ends promptly at the designated ending time. You are responsible for all setup, breakdown, and cleanup within your reservation time. Please clean and vacate the studio by the end of your rental period — we (and your fellow creatives) will thank you!
We get it — things come up. You’re able to reschedule or cancel up to 48 hours of your rental time. To respect other creatives’ time, we are unable to refund bookings canceled within 48 hours.
There is ample street parking available nearby.
We are a natural-light photo studio in Greenville. Our interior walls and ceiling are designed to bounce and utilize natural light. If your session is booked later in the day, please be mindful of the sunset time and plan accordingly.
Yes, our studio is wheelchair accessible. If you would like to preview the space to ensure accessibility, please email us at [email protected] to set up a virtual tour.
Heylo Studio is not responsible for missing or damaged items. If you leave any belongings behind after your reservation, please contact us ASAP to arrange a time to return and pick up your items. Our storage space is very limited, and we cannot hold onto items beyond 72 hours after your reservation date. Items left unclaimed for seven business days will become the property of Heylo Studio and may be donated or sold.
Heylo Studio does not assume liability relating to physical injuries and/or damage to your equipment that may occur during any future rental period agreed upon between the studio and renter. You agree to free Heylo Studio from any liability, including financial responsibility for injuries incurred, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence. You must carry your own general liability insurance policy of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and in the aggregate for property damage and bodily injury.
